Camping World Announces eCommerce Acquisition And Bitcoin Payment Partnership

Camping World announced on Monday (April 26) that it had made two deals designed to make it simpler for customers to shop and pay for their purchases. The recreational vehicle retailer said it had purchased Nomad Reservations, a campground booking and management system that goes by CampgroundBooking.com. In a separate announcement, the firm said it would now take bitcoin payments through a new partnership with BitPay.

Snap Solidifies Its Social Commerce Ambitions

Snap Inc., Snapchat’s parent, has set its sights on social commerce following a Thursday (April 22) earnings report. Daily active users were up to 280 million, according to that report, which as above analyst expectations of 274.62 million. “Snap’s strong results show us that the platform is not only continuing its reign as the app of choice for Gen-Z, but is also a go-to for brands wanting to engage consumers in a fun, entertaining way,” Socialbakers a.s. President Yuval Ben-Itzhak said per a published report.

Free Grocery Delivery Attracts 8 Million New Paid Walmart+ Subscribers

The Walmart+ membership program has developed a base in excess of 60 million American consumers subscribed to the $98-per-year service in only seven months. The subscription program offers online delivery, in-store savings and convenience offerings. Walmart+ almost recouped all of the paid users it shed in December when many free trial memberships expired after the holdings, according to an exclusive PYMNTS survey of over 15,500 U.S. consumers.
